His hair and eyes are both unassuming shades of brown and while he's a scrawny little thing he isn't stringy enough to cause a fuss. He's a cute kid, make no mistake, but he's just sort of there for the most part. His wardrobe is no help either. When he's not wearing wizards robes for class, Rylan tends to wear clothes that just beg to be ignored. Nothing seems to be well-fitted but it never seems to be about ready to fall off him either. He hates bright colors to he tends to be seen in mellow shades of grey, blue, green, and brown. Amelia was born into a half-blood wizarding family, the youngest of three. What set her apart from a very young age was her apparent lack of magic. After all, even wizarding children have little bouts of accidental magic but Amelia never did. It wasn't until she reached eleven years of age, with no sign of a letter from Hogwarts, that it was certain: she was a squib. After some very mixed messages from her parents, it was decided that she would go to live with her maternal grandparents. Being Muggles, they should be more able to make her feel comfortable and appreciated without the constant reminder of her lack of magic. To an extent, it all worked out and Amelia grew up much like any other Muggle. In time she fell in love and married a man named Zachary Norwood, telling him nothing of her parents or siblings. They, in turn, had four children of which Rylan was the third. Unlike his two older siblings, or his mother for that matter, Rylan showed small signs of magic growing up. It never seemed to be anything that couldn't be willfully explained away, but his mother had inklings of what the truth might be. Still, she declined to tell her husband or children anything. Rylan, obviously had no idea what was in store for him. He wasn't much different from any other kid growing up. He made friends, went to school, loved going on holidays with his family; the usual. He was diagnosed with ADHD at age seven but that didn't really impact him overly much. He was still the same Rylan he'd always been. If odd things sometimes happened around him, well didn't that happen to everyone? Evidently not.
